Summary
Wings’ World Summarized
This is the story of an orphan girl who meets a real angel. But Piper is no ordinary human. She has the power to influence those of the Angelus Race who have turned evil. Not knowning where she comes from, she has mostly hidden from her ability as something evil in itself, afraid it would corrupt her in unkown ways. When she meets Asher, the warrior Archangel in the city of Bone Key, she is plunged into a world where Good is constantly trying to control Evil, to such an extent she doesn’t know exactly when that shady line between the two is being crossed. Asher is highly aware angels fight a constant battle at balancing their devine nature in a physical world; where they must use violence to keep Evil at bay, while not becoming themselves those they so fiercely fight to defend Humanity. Piper is forced to win her own battles, to keep ownership of herself against the Archangels; who see humans as pawns they must control in order to protect. She also desperately wants to escape the seduction games of a warrior Archangel used to women throwing themselves at his feet, and the unsettling prospect of a step-family, even if a dangerous one. And finally, Piper must accept her destiny, to evolve in her new role as human associate to the earthly angels. Because for her, there is no turning back.
